In ‘Bonhyakuchizai,’ the story follows Kanna, an android who runs a bonsai shop called Kikumon Garden alone. Though she can live for 1000 years, humans only live for 100. When Haruka visits and becomes her ‘friend,’ Kanna begins to understand the meaning of friendship, humanity, and the words of her late ‘teacher.’ Through bonsai, shared experiences like pruning and beach trips, and even finding a big client, Kanna slowly learns about human warmth and connection.
