『Host and Salaryman 2』is a manga that depicts the unique relationship between a salaryman named Haruto and a host named Ren, who meet every morning at a beef bowl restaurant in Shinjuku Kabukicho. Haruto, who is struggling with a health check-up, is supported by Ren, while Ren, who is troubled about his future, receives new perspectives from Haruto. Despite their differences in age, values, and backgrounds, their daily 15-minute interactions bring a little light into each other’s lives. This time, when the salaryman’s day is just beginning and the host’s day is finally ending, is their only moment of connection. The story explores the loneliness and connections in modern society through the daily lives of these two individuals living on completely opposite time axes.
