『ペリリュー -外伝ー 4』は、2025年12月5日に劇場アニメとして公開される注目作です。本作は、『ペリリュー -楽園のゲルニカー』のスピンオフとして、戦争とその影響が今にどうつながるのかを描いた物語です。昭和22年、日本兵が去ったペリリュー島で、島田が戦いの日々を問う『どうして』、平成9年、田丸の息子・耕助の七回忌で家族が感情を分かち合う『なんだか僕は怒っている』、平成14年、田丸夫妻の日々を振り返る『田丸と光子2』、昭和18年、徴兵検査に合格した吉敷が家族と約束する『召集』など、さまざまな時間と人物の物語が収録されています。さらに、戦後70周年に発表されたプロトタイプ読切『ペリリュー玉砕のあと』も収録されており、戦争の時代と今をつなぐ命の物語が完成します。2025年7月には刊行予定で、多くのファンが期待しています。
